He entered service 1780 in Fauquier Co VA. John Pendleton (clergyman) & Ambrose Jones made statements for him. He d. 16 July 1834 in Scott Co. He married Mary ___ in 1777 & she died 7 Sept 1840. In 1855 the surviving children filed for anything that might have been due their mother & father. Their son - James Taylor Sr. was 78 in 1855, lived on Stoney Creek in Scott Co, & said he remembered when his father went into service. Also named were son Nimrod Jr. (& wife Judith), dau Polly Davison (wife of Henry Davison), dau Lydia Johnson (wife of James Johnson) In their app Elisha W.
