He was b. 1763 in Hanover Township Pennsylvania. He first entered service in Washington Co VA, and later in Sullivan Co NC (TN). He married Elizabeth Duncan in 1785 in Washington Co VA. She was b. 14 July 1762. He died 29 May 1844 in Whitley Co KY. Burton Litton of Whitley Co KY said he knew them both before they were married.
