By 1830 he was in Washington Co VA & following up on his application. A letter in the file states that the application had been lost or mislaid by his agent in SC. Henry Townsend died 5 July 1831. His wife's name was Catherine & she d. 7 June 1835. Their son & only heir in 1855 was John W.
