I don't know what major museums are in your area. I worked at the Henry Ford Museum and Village in Michigan. I would suggest checking Knoxville or any major city near you and calling and telling them what you want to do and asking them to direct you in the correct direction. You have the problem of stability of whatever the papers are attached to as well as the tannin (acid)in the papers themselves. Try Crab Orchard Museum in Tazewell, or contact the Library of Virginia in Richmond, they have a large collection of historical documents that they preserve.
