He states he was b. 1760 in South Carolina, that his father moved to Steward's Creek in NC, then he moved to Montgomery Co VA where he entered service. William McGuire (clergyman), Lyles Dolsbury, and Thomas Christian, residents of Tazewell Co, made statements for him.
