Hi all, When getting familiar with the Russell Co. VAGenWeb, I think I went straight for the photos page to see if I recognized any names and faces! And I've spent tons of hours looking at the annotated census records on the site, as well as cemetery, deed book and law order book transcriptions, etc., you name it. I've learned so much and continue to be most grateful to our Russell Co. volunteers. But, today I used the search engine mechanism there and found even more that will be important to my search(es). So, I wanted to remind everyone about this page (http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~varussel/search.html), accessible by clicking through from the Homepage where the link is second in this list: *See What's New on the Russell Co. VAGenWeb* *Search the Russell Co. VAGenWeb* *Russell County Calendar of Upcoming Events* *Visit the Russell County Virginia Chat Room* When you get to the search page, just enter the surname you're interested in and it'll bring up a link to every page on the site that contains that name. It's a really thorough (and quick!) way to find what you're looking for. Michelle
Michelle I agree. What is the "law order book"? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michelle Ligon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 11:50 AM Subject: [VARUSSEL] Search for surname on Russell Co.
