Yes, I believe this list is also in the book called something like "The Tinkling Springs". I have a copy, but I can't find it right this minute in my terribly cluttered office. Perhaps someone else has a copy they can check. Charles Cummings. The roughly 120 signatories to the call represent a very early list of settlers in the Lower Holston area. This list is available in three places that I know of: a) Summers History of Southwest Virginia b) Summers Annals of Southwest Virginia c) a posting on the Teters Family GenForum Despite the fact that two of these sources are by the same author (Summers), each of these lists contains persons not found on the other version of the list---typically ten to 15 persons. None of these sources indicate exactly where they found their information. Its probably to be found in the records of the Hanover Presbytery, which is probably housed in the archives of the Presbyterian Historical Society. Does anyone know of additional sources for this list of signatories, or have an explanation for the differences between these lists?
