Hi, I'm new to this site and just happened to notice the name GROSS. I am researching my paternal line of GROSS that is mostly from the Honaker and Russell County area. Hi Linda Housh! Buchanan county marriage records (Buchanan county is made up of parts of the old larger Russell county) show: Alben and Eliz. Gross' kid Henry H. Gross married Lila Vance on 28 Aug 1866. Her parents are listed as Wm. J. Vance and Margaret Vance. At the time, Henry and Lila are listed as being ages 21 and 18, putting their dates of birth around 1845 and 1848.
