He entered service in what was then Botetourt Co VA, and after Washington Co VA. Moses Webb of Morgan Co Ill made statement for him & said he served with Francis Haney on several occasions. Moses Webb was b. 19 Apr 1754 in Prince Edward Co VA & came to Washington Co in 1775, moved to Sumner Co TN in 1782 & after moved to Logan KY & ended up in Morgan Ill.
