Tax lists in the Upper District 1785-1792 John then appears to be replaced by a Benjamin Lewis who appears in the Upper District in the 1787 tax records and disappears in 1799 most likely because he lived in that part of Russell that became Tazewell Co. There is a Benjamin Lewis listed in the petition to form Tazewell Co. VA it is possible that this is the Benjamin Lewis that married Rachel McGuire daughter of William McGuire of Tazewell.
