Author: ATurekWoodward Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.counties.russell/7567.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My husband is a direct descendent of Jacob.After the death of their father, Isaac,in Bedford co many of his children moved to Washington co.The Elizabeth Mobley referred to in his pension application was Elizabeth Frair(Farris?)in Bedford co.I have never seen or read Elizabeths affidavit that she knew Jacob as a child,or that he had moved to Washington co before the War ended.In 1801 he married Susanna Fichpatrick and a few years earlier his brother John married a Margaret Fitchpatrick,all in Washington co,VA.I have not been able to find Jacob on the 1790 or 1800 censuses.I strongly suspect that Margaret and Susanna were siblings of Anthony and James Fitchpatrick,and daughters of James and Joanna Fitchpatrick.Have you ever come across a will for the James Fitchpatrick who m Joanna and is known to have sons Anthony(Washington co,va) and James(KY)?
