Supposedly, my ancestor William Quillen and brother, Teague Quillen, joined with Rev. Samuel and Nancy Hilton, Rev. James (or Jesse)Wilson, Samuel Strong, Margaret Davidson, Ann Black, Rebecca McClellan, Priscilla Jeffries, Samuel and Polly Eastep,and Polly Wilshire to form the church. They were loaned from the Double Spring Church near nowadays Kingsport, TN. Seems they had been attending the church and it was some distance from where they lived so I assume they wanted to form one of their own. This information was from a website, but the contact person does not know where the info came from. Does anyone out there have information about this church and these people? My ancestor, John Quillen (son of William) married Nancy Wayland of the Stony Creek Church. I do have the minutes from that church. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.
