Hayes [or Hagy - jh - mar 18 Sep 1838, WCV] (c1818)! Samuel's obituary says he d. in New Tazewell, 17 Mar 1909 and was b. in WCV; mar (1) Ada Townsley; (2) Mrs. Mary Noe, surviving... Afterwards sold his farm and went to Oregon with his wife and 2 daus., Mrs. D. T. Hodges, and Mrs. Noe. His wife d. in Oregon and he returned to New Tazewell... 1880c, Caiborne Co. TN: Cowan, Samuel, 39, house carpenter, VA/VA/VA; Adda, 34, TN/VA/VA; Mary A., 15.../// Samuel and Ada married 20 Nov 1862, Claiborne Co.
