Ruth - B: 1913 I show 2 children buried at the Mays Cemetery as follows: Emma V - Born & Died Feb 8, 1915 and Ralph Lee - no dates on the headstone, just son of M.L. and R. V. Mays 7. Liddia Margaret - Daughter of J. W. & Tabitha Mays - died at age 3 years. Buried at Mays Cemetery. Father: James K. Mays, Jr Mother: Mary (Polly) James was born in 1820, in North Carolina I have Polly born in 1825 in Tennessee and Died in 1908 There is a gravestone for a Polly Mays in the Mays Cemetery that just states Polly Mays, Wife of James Mays, 72 years. I don't know if this is the same or not, age is not in agreement. The father of James K. Mays, Jr. is James Mays Born 1804 This is all the information I have on him. He was probably James Mays, Sr. and since James K. Mays Jr. was born in North Carolina I presume he was from there also and then moved to Russell County, VA.
