James and Fairleanah bought property in Wash. Co. then sold out in 1808 and moved to Floyd Co., KY (from which Lawrence Co. was formed), along with other Wheelers. If you have done any online research of the Wheelers, then you know that the online info is severely corrupted, primarily from earlier books published that were more fiction than fact. There is no reliable record that Fairleanah's middle name was Eleanor. It obviously was added by someone in order to claim a connection to Benjamin Harrison. As there is no record of Benjamin living in Washington Co., I think it is safe to assume that Fairleanah was not his daughter. James Wheeler supposedly died in Lawrence Co. between 1840 and 1850. Don't know if this is correct, but if so, his widow was likely living with a child, if she was still living in 1850.
