We may be related. My ancestor was John Thomas Williams, born about 1795 in Russell County. One source believes that he and George Calhoun Williams were brothers. If true, their parents are Samuel Williams and Elizabeth Crump. There is a known connection of John Thomas Williams (through his wife, Mary Hall) to the Davenport family.
