Thanks Bruce P Barrett Barrett Family Reunion Tazewell and Russell County Barretts, Friends and Neighbors Saturday, July 3, 2010 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Southwest Virginia Community College, Shelters 5 & 6 724 Community College Rd., Cedar Bluff, VA 24609 (site of 2005 reunion) Lunch Reservation Catered lunch will be served around 12:30 p.m. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, BBQ & Rolls, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, Water, Soft Drinks Please bring a dessert to share if possible Cost: $8.50 per person, adult or child We need to know by June 20 how many from your family will be attending. Box 2348, Lebanon, VA 24266 Be sure to bring old photos or any items you'd like to share. There are benches at the shelter, but you may want to bring lawn chairs. There is ample parking and easy access to bathrooms, playgrounds, soccer fields, etc. Immediately after the reunion (around 2:30-3:00 p.m.) we plan to organize a trip up Little River, near Honaker. Betty Lyle has very graciously invited us to tour the former John and Cynthia Hurt Barrett home that she and her husband have restored. We can visit the cemetery on that property and then go on up to the John Crisman and Nancy Taylor Barrett Cemetery. Kathleen Taylor and Allen Sargent have been taking care of this cemetery with the generous financial help of many of you (Thanks very much!) and they're anxious for everybody to visit it.
