    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ABC.2ACE/3704 Message Board Post: I'm looking for photographs of my 4th great grandparents: James Monroe Tate & Sarah Owens Tate. I've saw a picture of their son James W. Tate who died in 1909 so I figured there's a possibility that there are pictures of his parents. Any help would be appreciated.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ABC.2ACE/3703.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I can't explain that statement on the library page that some dates go back to the 1800s. Perhaps some remains of people who died prior to 1935 were moved to the cemetery. Most other cemeteries in the area are private family plots. Have you checked the Russell VA GenWeb site? It has many recorded cemeteries on line, as well as a list of lookup volunteers which I think includes a book on Russell Co cemeteries.

Surnames: Denny Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ABC.2ACE/3703.1.1 Message Board Post: Thank you for looking for us. www.russell.lib.va.us/genealogy/temple_hill_cemetery.htm states that the book Temple Hill Memorial Park has 9,659 names listed alphabetically and some of the dates go back to the 1800's. So that is why I though the Denny's would be there as Thomas Denny died in Castlewood in 1891. Is there any other cemetery there dating from that time?

    3. I have noticed lot of activity concerning the "moore" lines I am desperatly seeking the parents of Susannah Moore who married Marcus wilson they both died whitley Co Ky after 1850 born (supposed ly Montgomery Co Va which I think was russel Co Va. she was born1799 (i think off the top of my head) and he about 1795/97 I think maybe her father could have been John Moore any help out there for me? this has been my brick wall for many years I would like to see beyond it before I leave this world (then I can ask them myself) Tlas101@aol.com wrote:This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. VA, the former c1803. Look at the PPTLs I sent you for this county in 1802 & 1803; there is no Enoch Moore there. Then, look at the 1843 and 1845 PPTL clips I sent for this county and you can see via proximity that these two persons were very closely related; also see the cross-over in the personal names in the RCV 1850 census. As you see from early PPTLs in WCV, Zachariah, Elisha, William & John Moore Jr. all grouped around John Moore Sr. I believe this John Moore Sr. to be the one in the HH of Elisha Moore, 1850c, RCV, age 81y and hence I still think that what Michael Dye has on the 1850 annotated census "possible s/o John Moore" is correct. Do you have any clues to the surname of the wife of Elisha Moore? Thanks. Surnames: Moore Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ABC.2ACE/3698.1 Message Board Post: Dear Gary: There are many possibilities, but I would lean toward exploring John Moore Sr.: 1803 PPTL, Washington Co. VA: (Upper): MOORTE, Joseph, Elizabeth, William, John, F. Jepthae, John N. (North) Fork; (Lower), Henry Bruster Valley, Arthur Jun., Martin (nr. Fulkersons), Richard, Hugh & Co. As you know likely, Zachariah had only been in RCV a few years before 1850; in 1845 he was still in the Upper Dist. of Washington Co. where he is enumerated very near the following other MOOREs: John Jr., Samuel, & Elisha (note that Elisha was also in RCV in 1850). Do you know or have any remote clue to Barbara's surname? Thanks, Jack Hockett, Tlas101@aol.com
