I don't know who her husband was but he was dead by 1840. Her children that I know of : Pressia m. Neely McGlothlin in 1869 Tabitha "Letha" Compton m. George Deel in 1855 Henry Compton m. Celia Compton in 1865 I'm sure there were more children but I don't know them. Maybe James Compton who married Emily was a son of Polly but I don't know who the father was. Thomas Compton had several children as did James Compton and Frances Herndon but I'm not sure of the connection just yet. If anyone can help please drop me a line.

My mother once told me that her grandmother's name was Sue or Suanne. Do you have any other siblings for your Bettie? I have a Charlie and Jack. I would love to find the right line to follow. What county did your Turners' live in? I do have some Puckett's in my line. My greatgrandfather married Rachel Puckett in 1869. She was the daughter of James and Sarah Puckett. Thanks for your reply. Hope to hear from you again. Linda

A lot of Redwine researchers have the same death date for Joshua Redwine and Frederick Augustus Redwine being 26 April 1859. They were supposedly son and father.

This William is the one who was the son of Randolph Hubbard, and married Lucy Rhea in 1860 in Russell Co. His first wife was Mary "Polly" Lyles. She was born in North Carolina, moved with William to Missouri where most of their children were born, and died between 1853 and 1860 in unknown location. I have been unable to establish her death in the last county in Missouri where they were known to be living in 1850. I am hopeful that someone connected with Russell Co. may have information. It is possible that she died in VA as William and all of their children except one were living there by 1860. Any info appreciated.

Unfortunately, I am not sure who Bettie Turner married. I think it might have been a Smith, but have no real proof. According to the 1900 census a Maggie Turner was living with James and Bettie Smith. This Maggie is the right age for my grandmother. My Maggie's mother died when Maggie was young. If you have any info that may be helpful, please let me know. Linda
