Born in Aug 1848 in TN. she was my grandmother's sister MATTIE TOWNSLEY WHITEAKER's best friend. i have DORA's photo on my homepages. the family thru all the yrs never knew who DORA was married to. some even think DORA was a 1/2 sister to MATTIE & my grandmother. this new info may shed light on her. IF THIS is her. note far as i know i'm not related to WOODS/ROBINSON. but am to the others. a POWERS marr my g-g-greatgramp's TOWNSLEY, i think. Hopefully the Purcell Cemetery you are looking for is the same one where my Great Grandparents, Henry and Sarah Addison, are also buried. I was there last May. It is located off Rte 71 and Rte 614. It is on the top of a ridge in the middle of a cow pasture. It has been in very poor shape but someone last year had re-fenced and cleared the whole cemetery, cleaning headstones, etc. I will try to find the information I wrote down if you think it is the same one. I have been trying to find information on Joseph BOYD and his wife Nancy. Joseph died before 1860 and Nancy after 1870. I have not found any death certificate for either.
