Does anyone have information about the tie between Absolum Hammond and John Hill. I also have been trying to tie the Northumberland Hill family to the Richmond Hill family. Here's the message: Absolom Hammonds of Russell/Scott Co, VA, was probably the son of Absolom Hammond born 26 August 1724 in Northumberland Co, the son of William Hammond. His parents had died before his third birthday, at which point he was apprenticed out to John Hill until he turned 21 to learn the coopers trade (OB 1719-29, 259). Despite much effort, I have yet to find any connection between the early (ante ca. 1750) Hammond's of Richmond County and the early Hammond's of Northumberland and Lancaster. John Hill m Betty Hammond in Richmond Co., VA Betty is the s/o Charles (d SC; f/o Samuel); John (d. GA) Debra dhill@fdn.com

No you don't what?! What kind of info did you get? About any day is good for me. We can decide later in the week. We're going to get more done when no one else is there, as we've said before. ----- Original Message ----- From: " RJackson" <jackson1652@bellsouth.net> To: <VARUSSEL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 02, 2005 9:58 PM Subject: Re: [VARUSSEL] James Miracle, Sr & Orpha Holt > No I don't. Rutha, I do have that Orpha Holt was born in NC in about 1792 and that James Miracle, Sr was born in PA in about 1793. I have ten children for them and that two of their children married children of John Harvey Thompson and Nancy Patrick. I guess you have all of this info?
