    3. Bill, There is no John Ramsey in RCV in 1810. He is in Washington Co with a boy & girl, both under 10. He and his wife are 26 - 44. No township is given. Roll 252-71, pg 71, line 1 Washington County, VA This was not one of the census' more definitive years. Debra I hear their whispers; etherial, soft, and still. Daughter, if you do not remember us, who will? Hello List, I am trying to find out information about a JOHN RAMSEY who is in Russell Co. during the early 1800's. In particular I need to know if he appears in the 1810 Census, and his age bracket, and the bracket of his children. Also are there any records of marriage. He would have gotten married between the years 1797 and 1804. Thanks in advance. Bill Ramsey

    3. Meloney, The staff at the Clerk's office does not do genealogy research. There are a few people, locally, who might do this for you. If you will email me the information I will take it to our next Genealogy Group meeting and ask. My email address is janice_b@verizon.net. 1. Walter G. CASTLE family question
    2. Jim Jessee
    3. Sharon, Thank you for your inquiry about the Castle Family of Russell Co. below. Castle is a historic family in SW VA, especially Russell Co. VA, so the odds are very high that Walter G. Castle for whom you are searching is related to all the others. I am not a Castle descendant or researcher and do not have more than what you see in the database at www.jessee.org, but I believe that if you post this inquiry or others on RootsWeb, the Russell Co. VA list who I will copy, you may be able to learn more. Jim -----Original Message----- From: Sharon M. Bledsoe [mailto:reblady@flash.net] Sent: Monday, March 14, 2005 5:45 AM To: jim@jessee.org Subject: Castle family question Jim, I found a file in rootsweb that you posted and I was wondering if you could assist me. I am looking for information on a Walter G. Castle born 26 Aug 1893 in VA and died Oct 1976 in Metro Detroit area of Michigan. I have a copy of the 1930 census from Russell Co. VA Castlewood dist where the family lived. Walter is married to Jennie (Jennette on 1930 census) she was born 30 July 1891 in KY and died Sep 1973 in Metro Detroit area of Michigan. The file you have posted is for a William Walter Castle born in 1895. Would these two families be related? Thank you in advance for any assistance you might be able to give me in this research.
