Creed Meade was born in Kentucky (Logan County I think). He died in Daviess County, KY in 1903. My great grandfather was Creed Meade's son William (Azro) Meade. I am having a hard time finding out more information on Creed Meade, other than he married Margaret Downs, and later after she passed away he married a Mary Wells. I am trying to find out who Creed Meade's parents were. I know they were from Virginia (according to a census) but thats all I can find. I hope that we can share information if the Meade's you have on your posting are the same Meade's I am looking for. I hope to hear from you. Please e-mail me at ! flamedragon22@hotmail.com. Surnames: Holbrook McCoy Gibson Cooksey Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ABC.2ACE/3871.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Mina, I liked your first answer better. Here is why I don't think Elizabeth was a Holbrook: 1. She is age 54, b. Russell Co, in 1850 census. John Holbrook and Mary Cooksey (the likely parents if she were a Holbrook) were not on the Russell tax list until 1798, indicating they likely were not in Russell in 1796. That alone, I could concede, but -- 2. In the 1820 census, John Holbrook is dead, and widow Mary is the only female in the household. Thomas McCoy and Elizabeth's oldest child was b. ca 1825, so they probably were not married in 1820. So Elizabeth should have been living with Mary if she were a daughter. It's possible she was living with someone else, but 1 & 2 taken together cast some doubt in my mind that she was a Holbrook. Please let me know if you find anything further that proves or disproves Elizabeth's (b. ca 1796) name. Max

Go to rootsweb and put Hiram Jones name in with Blankenship as spouse. It will bring up info on Hiram. Also, although LDS isn't so accurate, if you do the same for Hiram Jones, the Haga's that married Hiram will be found.
I have also found that Hiram's middle name was Lytle
