If someone gave the name of the author, I missed it. But it it was Judge Sutherland, I know you can get the film through any Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I've done it. There is a small fee, but if you're looking for any particular data in the book, then it'll be an easy task to get a photocopy of the original while you're at the Center. I guess even if the author is not Sutherland, you might still want to check at familysearch.org to see what's available. Not all the books at Salt Lake City's Family History Library have been filmed for various reasons -- sometimes data is submitted but permission to copy is not given -- but many, many are and you can order photo copies of the pages you want if the FHC nearest you doesn't have the right copy equipment to get you a copy of the filmed pages you want. That is a ton of scanning, but what is the copyright? Are they old enopugh (I don't know the laws) to scan and put on the internet? It might be a great project for someone or a group of people. Randy, I'm in Cincinnati, so Roanoke is a little far off. However, you did remind me to check at the Cinti/Hamilton Co. Library and it looks like they have a set also. The only problem with that is I won't be able to check them out and remove them from the library and copying costs there are outrageous. I've been looking at possibly getting one of those Docupen scanners. Maybe that will be the solution.
