Very interesting. That was Rudell's station and not Riddles Station. The name so often was pronounced Riddle, therefore it was spelled Riddle instead of Rudell. The Rudells, after the Revolution moved to Independence Co., AR. George Rudell was the imigrant. His son Abraham was also taken prisoner at Rudell's Station and was kept by the Indians for several years. Abraham married and had a daughter Nancy who married John M. "Jack" Musick, son of Asa Musick. They lived in Independence Co., AR. Nancy Ruddell Musick died in Ind. Co., AR. and John Jack Musick m. 2nd to Matilda and they moved to Texas. John Musick, at the time of his death in 1862, in Hunt Co., TX. was a very wealthy Rancher. Have a lot of history on these families.
