My husband was born up there. I was born at Coeburn/Toms Creek area. We are going up that way end of August and first of September. He still has family on the ridge. Who would you like me to look for? I'll try to take a look at the cemetery. I don't know the Sproles but Edna Tignor was sister to my mom's aunt. Here's the link: http://archives.starhq.com/html/obituaries/obituaries archive/02/070102.html By the way - am in search of the burial place of Coy & Minnie Sprole. Minnie's death certificate says she's buried at Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Tom's Creek VA - any idea where that is ??? Thanks ! This obit on Edna Tignor is part of our family. It is appreciated. Do you know if the Elizabethton Star has archived newspapers for the 1920's? I need two obits fropm that year. Thanks, Chris.
