There is a volunteer working in the genealogy room of the Kern Memorial Library on City Hall Ave in Norfolk that might be able to help you. They have a lot of the very old city directories up there as well as a lot of local history books. 301 E. City Hall Ave. [757] 664-7323. Another possibility MIGHT be the Norfolk City Hall treasurers office ref a City Business License. I have no idea how far back their records go but depending on how long the company may have lasted into the 1900's, it might be worth a try.
