Dennis..Don't know if this will help or not, but according to my Spearman Family Book, there are mentioned 3 Wm Browns (no dates) in family of Mary Spearman m James Browne b 1726 in VA. James was a son of Buckingham Browne & Elizabeth Mestich. According to "First Families of America" Vol V1 page 433, James & Mary moved to Cumberland CO VA where they built a house called "Red Rock" on Pidy Creek.
