July 18 1722 William Beverley of King and Queen county to the honorable Alexander spotswood esqr gov. of va. whereas the said Alexander Spotswood and Robert Beverley of the county of king and queen gentle dec'd and Thomas Jones of williamsburg merchant did enter into a copartnership for the carrying on the design off melting and casting of iron and for that purposed the said Beverley and Jones by patented bearing date feb 20 1719, did obtain a grant of 15,000 a. of land in Spots county formerly part of Essex county, commonly called or know by the name of the ironmine land etc. Robert Beverley's share be devised and bequeathed to the said William Beverly by his last will and testament the said william beverly disposing of it by this deed to spotswood for l180 6s. 8d. and l 390 o. 1 1/2 d. curr. witness john waller, r,. booker, jonathan quarles rec'd dec 4 1722 ___________________________________________ April 6 1725 Harry Beverly of Spots to Andrew Harrison of Essex county 4600 pounds of tobacco in spotswood part of a pat. granted said beverley july 6 1725 Harry Beverly to john Hawkins.
