Hi A Joshua B. Thompson was killed by a moving train on October 3, 1876 in Clover, VA at a train stop. According to letter in Civil War file of Joshua's he had a Inquest. Person says they buried him in Danville Cemetery, VA. I called the Danville Cemetery and they say he is not there. He was a Civil War veteran but not sure if buried as veteran since he was buried by traveling circus he worked for, however if buried as veteran, they would have record of his burial there. Were there any other Danville Cemeteries in this area in 1876? Anyone have any suggestions how to find newspaper account of this accident...he fell from a moving train trying to board it.
