Hi Earl and list, My "first" ELAM was Edward ELAM, born in North Carolina in 1787, but his wife, Mary Elizabeth HARMON was from a family that came from Virginia. A researcher-cousin says his father may have been named Daniel, but his mother was Patience DENNIS, who a great-grandson claims was a full-blooded Cherokee. Any links with your ELAMs? Judy

Rebecca Weathers in Warren Co, NC, July 1785, dau. of Reuben Weathers of Sussex Co.,Va./Warren Co., NC/and to Mecklenburg Co., NC in the 1780s where Charles and Rebecca also settled.
