Do you know if any of these Denney/Denny families had ties to NC? Or if they migrated at all to Missouri before 1850? My gr gr grandfather's first wife was Dorcas Lamirah Denney/Denny. She was b.NC ~1829. In 1850, she and my gr gr grandfather were in Cole Co, MO. It looks like her father (I assume--no proof) Squire Denny/Denney age 57 was living next door to them with 3 dtrs named Elizabeth 17, Mary 16, and Martha 14. No wife was listed. He and all the girls were b.NC. Just checking in case there might be a relationship somewhere. He was a coal miner and the family lived in Wise County in 1919 when his youngest child was born. William and his family were originally from Russell County. His wife's name was Ollie Ritta Bays and her family was from Scott County. We don't know which of these counties he would have been working in in the mines at the time of his death.
