Our Denney/Denny family did come from NC, Thomas Denny was born there but I don't know where yet. I found only one Thomas born in 1863 in NC in the 1880 census. His father was Lewis William and mother Caroline. We are working on tracing this family now and seeing if the son Thomas left NC and went to VA. Please post here again or to me privately if you ever find anything. I don't have any further info on Squire Denney either. I assume he was b.~1792/93 since he was 57 in the 1850 census depending on his birth month, and he was b.NC. I've sent you a message privately with an image attached. Hope you can use it. If it's a duplicate, please delete.
