MARK ANDREWS, this revolutionary soldier, whose grave is marked as such, in WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE, was born in VIRGINIA. His farthest back VIRGINIA ancestor, so far as we have been able to trace, was a certain GEORGE ANDREWS, who in the latter part of the 17th century - 1650 to 1690 lived on what was sometimes referred to on the old records as the GEORGE ANDREWS SWAMP, and later called SPEARMAN'S SWAMP, where also lived a certain JOB SPEARMAN and his family. This was in ESSE?? COUNTY Virginia. Among the neighbor?? of the GEORGE GOODE mentioned was COL. JAMES GAINES, MR.
