    3. Well no one seem to know, I was able to find on the National Archives site that the numbers in the vet, deaf, blind columns the census surveyors used the area for caculations, but I could not find what the different numbers in the farm schedule column means. So if their is anyone who knows, as that info is not on the NARA site. Thanks Heather I am searching the 1910 Census of Caldwell County, North Carolina. I have found an Uncle and in reading the information that is put down for him I am confused. According to the information; he is a carpenter, the establishment is hard to read(that's okay), it his own account, then in ownershipe of home is; that he owns, free, house, (under number of farm schedule is) 12 then for the columns 30(Civil War Vet), 31 (Wether Blind), and 32 (Wether deaf) are the following numbers -2 -9 -8 Any clue what these numbers mean???? Unless all my information is wrong, including what is at the begining of the census about his age, he cannot be a Civil War Survivor, he was born 1864. Thank you Heather Olsen ==== NCCALDWE Mailing List ====
