I really haven't heard about any deaths in the Williamsburg Area, of course my cable is out, they say it will be days before it comes back. I really don't understand what happened, when the electric came on the cable was fine, less than 24 hours later it was dead, not a clue, they say it's a massive outage, again no clue. Oh before I forget, what I wanted to say is I think there were about 35 deaths from Isabel and I know that a few were from the generators, carbon monoxide poisoning, and I know there was a few from candles. The stories would be in the paper, However, the Virginia Pilot really doesn't cover Williamsburg all that much, you might want to try the Richmond Times. I know the papers put stuff on line, and I think you can do a 2week search, do a search thru obits. but I would just keep positive they probably don't have electric or phones. It's very frustrating, not to be able to contact loved ones and tell them your OK. I also discovered to my horror (I actually had nightmares about losing electric again, I did it to myself, getting all worked up) that the 2nd half of my development doesn't have electric yet. I think it's horrible. I thought we were all on the same grid, I guess not. My husband came home yesterday and drove thru the block that divides the back half of the development and he actually saw extension cords running across the street. I think it's pretty nice that people did that, hope no car runs over one of those, I wonder how many extension cords it took to run across the street? Busy day ahead, Kristina Ps.
