We have Michael O'Daniel b. 1780 in Maryland. Would like to find his parent's. He left Maryland before 1800 as he got married in TN at that time. With O'Daniel as a name, would he be Scots or Irish? Vicky, O'Daniels married Whitfields and Kethleys (various spellings) in early 1700s in NC & very possibly Va. Are any of these O'Daniel given names familiar? Alexander; Betsy; Elizabeth; Frederick; James; John; Jonathan; Laura Ellen; Nancy; Owen; Stephen; and William. Both the Whitfields and the Kethleys moved from NC to Tn. - Green Co. and Montgomery Co., possibly others.
