Is that the City of Richmond Courthouse? I went there about a year ago and found a copy of a divorce record from 1906. I don't think those folks are used to people want documents that far back as they seemed surprised that I would want a divorce record going that far back. I do have to say when I got the file I hit a gold mine. It had the couples marriage certificate, letters from the wife's boyfriend and letters of from folks testify as to what a good person the husband was and the wife was bad. It shocked me as to some the words those folks used back then.
