ESSEX CO., Road Petition, 1708: [check -- might be order bk 4] 11 Nov. 1708 -- Deed Bk. 4, pg. 98, bottom [VaStLib, microfilm ?]: Buckingham Brown's petition to have the road running by his house removed rejected, the court determing current place is most convenient Wonder if this road is now 640?? Or Hwy 17 or does anyone know where Buckingham Browne's land was? I have been told that a house or Inn still stands that was owned by him..Anyone know where it is/was? John Spearman & B.
