For those of you who are wondering what is taking so long to restore power to everyone, keep in mind they are not just tree trimming and puting a few lines back up as they would after a normal storm. In most areas they are rebuilding from scratch - there is just nothing left. To make matters worse, the ground is so wet that poles can't stand - they just bob and weave like they are drunk - making it necessary to use many more support cables to hold them up. It's the worst situation ever faced by Virginia Power. I worked there for 33 years and get a few e-mails from friends working this storm - it's just unbelievable. Bev
