    2. IN my gathering of information for my website www.nyvagenealogy.homestead.com I have found that a marriage bond can be found in 3 places. The place the Event happened. The brides parish. The place where the minister resides, or where he turned his records in. And the closer you get to 1856 and the present the better chances of it being in a newspaper.
