I hear what you say! I did just that, zipped up my databases and stories (.doc files) then uploaded them to a file server for safe keeping. Always do backups, even if it is simply burning them on discs and make multiples. Don't keep all of your eggs in one basket. Make a second copy and store it away from your home!
