I am looking for info. a LAWRENCE HULETT and family . He arrived in VA abt 1659 , a indentured servant I believe . I have no info. on his children or grandchildren etc. I have only been able to get to ALLEN HULETT in KY B. 1820 with no record of who his parents where or if he had any ! So I am looking for the family from 1659 to 1820 and don't know where to start . My library will not get inner library loan from out of state , I'm in CA . So that has complicated things ! But worse then that they only have local genealogy books . So I am asking for HELP in a big way . Thank you,Linda outhere in the redwoods and not much more !

As we know there have been some changes in the early names thru the years, both intentional and some just due to pronunciation and/or poor spelling. HOWLETT is a Tidewater - NC/Va name.
