I am trying to find the parents of my ggggrandmother, Lydia Messick who, according to census records, was born in VA & died in Andrew Co., MO ca. 1871. Census records show she spent 1810-1840 in Madison Co., KY. Any help will be appreciated. Jean

Thank you for the suggestion. So far I haven't connected my Messicks with the AR Messicks. Lydia and her family ended up ca. 1850 in Andrew Co., MO. Some of their descendents still live there.
