Hi Donna & Julie: Just sharing with you a great way to read old hard to read stones. I have used it for several years & it works great. I use an old mens dress sock & fill it with corn starch & tap the front of stone lightly. If anything there you can read it & it doesn't harm the stone like most other methods. It is not toxic or harm full in any way to the stone or our environment & the first rain that comes along washes it clean again. I tie a knot to the end of sock & carry it in a small box or container. You can use the end above the knot to wipe off excess powder if necessary for a better reading. Ony problem is if windy you need to use from the up wind side of stone. Best when used on a Quiet day. Good Luck & have a great day. Gayle M. Garrett Gayle M.
