This is one of the biggest "brick walls" that I have left. I've often though it such a shame that he didn't have one of those nice rare and distinctive Biblical names.....something to set him apart. There were most probably quite a few John Thompsons in Virginia, back in those days, with roots reaching back to England, Ireland and Scotland.
