In particular, I'm concentrating on the descendants of John and Rebecca McFARLAND CRIDER who married in Frederick Co VA on 23 May 1831, but were in Rockingham Co VA by 1839. Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery near Daphne, Rockingham Co VA; this is my line; she married 1st: Peter W KEYSER (son of Emaline KEYSER) on 2 Nov/Dec 1861 in Rockingham Co VA. Peter was b. ca 8 Nov 1833 in Page Co VA and died bet. 1872-1879; place of burial unknown; 4 children 2nd:married Jacob EATON (son of John and Nancy FORD EATON) on 17 Oct 1880 in Rockingham Co VA; Jacob was b. 16 Jul 1853; d. 23 Sept 1937; bu. Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery near Daphne, Rockingham Co VA; no children from second marriage 3. Margaret CRIDER b. 24 Oct 1844; d. 4 May 1914 of intra cranial hemmorrhage in Augusta Co VA; bu. Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton, Augusta Co VA; death reported by brother-in-law James A Bell in whose household she lived in the 1910 Augusta Co census; she never married; no known children 4. William M CRIDER b. 6 Sept 1845 in Rockingham Co VA; d. 12 Jul 1911; bu. On 13 Oct 1874, he married Sarah C Baker in Shenandoah Co VA. She was the daughter of George and Christena WALKER BAKER. Sarah C Baker Crider: b. 22 Sept 1850 Shenandoah Co VA; d. 10 Sept 1909; bu. Mary J CRIDER: b. ca 8 June 1851 in Rockingham Co; likely died in Augusta Co VA; married James A BELL 30 Dec 1873 in Rockingham Co VA. According to marriage record, James was born ca. 20 Feb 1852 in Jefferson Co VA [later became WV]; also likely died in Augusta Co VA. More research planned on this line; there were children, number yet unknown.
