Hi Pat, I don't know about a connection, but,I do think the name "Ansel" is very unusual. I have seen many variations of the name, but,I don't see the name Ansel used often. My ancestors migrated from Ireland around 1737 and settled on Cub Creek which is near Charolette. My ggg grandfather,Ansel/Anselm Cunningham moved to Wilkes, GA. after the war. So far,I haven't come across the name of Sapp. Glenna ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pat Mims" <oneolddogg@charter.net> To: <VAROOTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 24, 2003 12:46 PM Subject: Re: [VAROOTS] Roll Call..CUNNINGHAM,GEORGE > Since Ansel is such an unusual name (I think), I am always surprised to see > it.
