I am researching the Houchins, Houchens, Howchens families in Fluvanna, Goochland, Louisa Couunties in Va. I have found it to be spelled Hutchens at times. Hope this can help someone. Many Houchins moved to Ohio and later Washington State. I have a lot of information about these Houchins from Goochland. Looking for a Mary(Polly) Cosby who married a Houchins from Goochland County. Was later in Ohio. One of her descendents was a Mary Elizabeth Houchins. Mary Eliz. was married several times,was last married to a R.M. Robertson in Washington State. He died there abt. 1920. She died in Montana.
