    1. Question about Censuses
    2. Lindy Brammer
    3. When the 1940 US Census is released, there will be a lot of men in the military located on ships at sea and in other countries. Where will the microfilm of their enumeration be located??? The Censuses are filed by state. This will present a problem in later Censuses when we have military personnel located on bases in other countries. Will their microfilm be a thing unto themselves or what???? This also will hold true for any American serving at an US Embassy in another country. I know they were counted; it's just a puzzle as to how they will be filed. This is probably a dumb question, but I just wondered when I thought about my dad serving aboard a Navy ship during WWII. 3. Here is a site that will refer you to places where those records now are located and available, other than at the Natl. Archives http://www.columbia.edu/cu/lweb/indiv/usgd/census/1940.html And here is a URL for what questions were asked http://www.ipums.umn.edu/usa/voliii/94items.html Genealogy without documentation is nothing.
